The inaugural meeting of the Caribbean Academy of Sciences (CAS), combined with an
international seminar on "Science, Development and Society" was
held at the Central Bank Auditorium, Financial Complex, Eric Williams Plaza in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on 16th and 17th May 1988.
