intergovernmental and international agencies that fund large
infrastructure projects on the promotion and implementation of
high-speed Research and Education Networks

collaboration with the managers of the relevant research and
education networks (RENs), that will:
Review the status of ICT infrastructure and RENs in each region
(based on a review of policies, strategies, and other relevant
reports);
Evaluate the degree to which the connectivity needs of academics
and researchers are being met by ICT providers, including the
implementation of national and regional RENs, and identify gaps;
and
Propose specific actions regarding each participating country and
the region that could be implemented by the IAP Member Academies,
or in cooperation with other research, educational, and library
organizations.
